Math-U-See runs 9 grades further than Miquon Math. If you want one program to carry the subject for the long haul, plan on leaving Miquon Math around grade 3 and choosing again.

Parent sits alongside through Primer and Alpha, kids go mostly independent from mid-Beta, and the blocks fade out at Epsilon and Zeta. Pre-Algebra to Algebra 1 is the rough transition, and Demme publishes free bridge material for it.
Miquon Math
Grades 1-3
Six workbooks (Orange, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple), two per grade across grades 1-3, with topics cycling and deepening from book to book.
