Privacy Policy

Last updated July 27, 2026

HomeschoolCompareHQ (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) publishes comparisons and descriptions of homeschool curriculum at homeschoolcomparehq.com. This policy explains what information the site collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

We keep data collection to a minimum. The site has no accounts and no logins. The only place it asks for personal information is the optional feedback form, described below.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the site collects standard technical information when you visit, through its analytics and hosting services. This can include your approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address), the type of device and browser you use, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and how long you stay. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the pages, which helps us decide what to improve and what to write next. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data as described in Google’s own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

The site does not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and it does not run display ads.

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes how a curriculum is described or scored. The write-ups come from aggregated owner feedback and the publishers’ own materials, and a commission does not buy a better description.

When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network (for example Amazon, ShareASale, Impact, or a publisher’s own program) may set a cookie to credit the referral. Those cookies are governed by the privacy policies of those companies, not by this site.

Information you send us

If you use the feedback form to suggest a correction, we collect what you type into it: your name, your email address, the curriculum you are writing about, and your comments. We use it to understand and act on the feedback, and to reply if we have a question. We do not sell or share it, and we do not publish your name alongside a curriculum entry. Entries describe what owners report as a group, never an individual by name. If we ever add an email newsletter, we will ask before signing you up.

The form is handled by Formspree, which receives and stores the submission on our behalf so that it can be emailed to us. Ask us at any time and we will delete a submission.

Third parties we rely on

The site is built as static pages and served by Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Analytics is provided by Google. Affiliate tracking is handled by the retailers and networks named above. Each of these companies has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to run the services described here.

Children’s privacy

The site is written for parents and other adults choosing curriculum. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices and rights

You can decline analytics with the browser add-on or the cookie controls described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access or delete personal information we hold about you. Outside the feedback form described above, the site does not collect names, email addresses, or account data, so there is normally little or no personal information to act on. You can contact us with any request, including to delete a feedback submission, and we will respond as the law requires.

The site links to publishers, retailers, forums, and other outside pages. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site grows, for example if we add an email newsletter. The July 27, 2026 update added the feedback form section. The “Last updated” date above shows the most recent version, and meaningful changes will be reflected here.
