Apologia Science
Grades PreK-12
The elementary Young Explorer series (Botany, Zoology, Astronomy, Anatomy, Earth Science, Chemistry and Physics) is read-aloud and multi-age for K-6 with narration and notebooking. The junior-high and high-school texts are independent, single-subject, one-year lab courses, so parent involvement and independence flip between the two levels.
BJU Press Science
Grades K-12
Elementary (1-6) is heavily activity-driven and teacher-led. Junior high and high school (Life, Earth, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics) get more independent, and the video Distance Learning courses shift the teaching load off the parent.
