Writing Strands

Who it fits

A gentle composition-and-literature spine with a friendly voice, suited to reluctant writers and multi-age households working from one flexible series. Families needing heavy grammar, structured academic essays, an open-and-go scripted course, or a fully secular text will want something else.

How it shifts by grade

Placement is by writing ability more than grade, so the same book can fit a strong younger student or an older one depending on the reading list. Beginning covers grades 5-8, Intermediate 6-9, Advanced 7-10.

Additional notes

This is the current Master Books rewrite, which weaves Bible passages through the reading strand across most levels, hence Integrated. The older Dave Marks / National Writing Institute editions are secular and still circulate used as a different product.
