How it shifts by grade

Everyone starts at Level 1 and accelerates as needed, since levels indicate difficulty, not grade. Each level runs 180 daily lessons, about a school year.

Additional notes

The daily test is the instruction, not a pretest, and immediate self-correction is central. Publishing status is unsettled: the original AVKO site is defunct, print books sell through third-party retailers, and an online version runs under separate ownership. Reverify pricing at a current retailer before promotion.
