How it shifts by grade

Grades 1-3 are Spelling and Poetry and lean phonetic. Grade 6 moves into Latin and Greek roots, and grades 7 and up put the emphasis on vocabulary with spelling reviewed alongside.

Additional notes

Christian worldview is woven through sentences, poems, and usage examples. Titles shift by grade band (Spelling & Poetry, then Vocabulary, Spelling & Poetry). It is one strand of Abeka's full language arts but can be used on its own.
