The Math Map

Who it fits

Written for families already in a Classical Conversations community who want one classical, Christ-centered math resource for the whole household and enjoy teaching through discussion. Families outside CC, or wanting a self-paced independent track, should start somewhere else.

  • Repetition year after year builds retention
  • Art and quotes are engaging
  • Unifies the whole family on one weekly topic

What parents report as challenges

  • Thin independent evidence, mostly member testimonial
  • Tied to the CC community and membership for full support
  • Everyone on the same weekly concept may not fit an accelerated or behind child
  • Pricier per level than most workbooks

How it shifts by grade

Elementary domains (Digits through Reals) map to Foundations and Essentials, and upper domains feed the Challenge programs.

Additional notes

New in 2023-24 and still rolling out, with active errata sheets. Faith is the stated organizing purpose of the program, not a wrapper, which is why it is scored Core. Independent, non-member reviews are scarce, so treat the scores as best estimates.

Descriptions aggregate what homeschool parents consistently report across public community sources (forums, Facebook groups, Reddit, and long-form reviews) together with the publisher's own materials. Prices and editions change over time.
