A four-year chronological rotation (Ancient, Medieval, 1800s, Modern), and every year serves all four levels at once (Lower Grammar K-3, Upper Grammar 4-6, Dialectic 7-9, Rhetoric 10-12), so the whole family studies the same era at its own depth.
