How it shifts by grade

Levels 1-2 are oral with no workbook and can't be a mid-series entry point. Level 3 adds a consumable workbook and introduces diagramming. Level 4 deepens it, then hands off to Grammar for the Well-Trained Mind for middle school.

Additional notes

Levels 1-2 use classic poems, fables, and famous artwork for copywork and picture study. Cathy Duffy calls it secular but Christian friendly.
